Armenian Film Society was founded in 2015 by Armen and Mary Karaoghlanian.
Armenian Film Society shines a spotlight on Armenian filmmakers and Armenian culture in film. The society's ongoing goal is to bring together the Armenian community in Los Angeles to watch films, while also presenting films within an artistic and cultural context. Armenian Film Society holds monthly screenings, events, and discussions in the Glendale area, and welcomes hundreds of regular attendees with audiences that represent all ages and a cross-section of the diverse population of Los Angeles.
Armenian Film Society has welcomed a number of notable guests, including Mardik Martin, Ken Davitian, Eric Nazarian, Roger Kupelian, and has received press coverage in media outlets that include The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Daily News, and Asbarez.
