La La Land is a musical written and directed by Damien Chazelle, starring Ryan Gosling as a struggling jazz pianist and Emma Stone as an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love while pursuing their dreams in Los Angeles. La La Land won 6 Oscars, including Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Score, Best Song, Best Cinematography, and Best Production Design.2016, 128 minutes, DCP

Why La La Land? We likely won’t screen another movie as popular as LALa La Land, but the fact that it’s such a popular movie doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s also great. Damien Chazelle’s filmmaking is so exciting to watch, and the movie features a beautiful score and soundtrack from Justin Hurwitz. We’ll never pass on the opportunity to watch La La Land on the big screen.
