Missing Celebrates World Premiere in Los Angeles

MISSING celebrated its world premiere in Los Angeles at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

MISSING is a standalone sequel to 2018's SEARCHING from producers Natalie Qasabian and Sev Ohanian. SEARCHING earned over $75 million worldwide on a budget that was less than $1 million.

The film is written and directed by Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, editors on original film, based on a story by Sev Ohanian and Aneesh Chaganty. The film is produced by Natalie Qasabian, Sev Ohanian, and Aneesh Chaganty. MISSING, which stars Storm Reid and Nia Long, introduces new characters in an all-original story that is once again played out entirely on screens.

The premiere was attended by the film's cast and crew, along with friends and family, as well as industry players including Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler and Zinzi Coogler, principals at Proximity Media alongside Sev Ohanian. The film had several pop-up screenings earlier this week with positive reactions from audiences.

MISSING is scheduled for wide release by Sony in theaters everywhere on January 20, 2023.
